I've got a small suggestion about the shield relic.
I noticed with the strength relic that you gave it more of a pronounced red colour when holding it so people can tell easier.
However with the shield relic, you DON'T know someone's holding it until you shoot them. Well I think there is a small yellow light at their feet but anyway, the problem stems from the effects that get drawn when you take a shot. They're fine in and of themselves, the problem is repeaters or multi-strike weapons. Minigun/Flak Cannon.
The minigun fires like 20 bullets a second or something like that, I duno. It's a lot. Well when you're trying to mow someone down with this who is holding a shield relic, it draws the shield effect for every bullet they take. Result: Lag and lots of it.
Same thing with the flak cannon: It fires about a dozen shards all at once. Point-blank shots mean 12 instances of damage. So, the relic draws 12 layers of effects, resulting in? Lag.
I was hoping something could be done about that, and I had a suggestion. Just like the strength relic makes the players hands glow a bright red, so too should the shield relic make the players hands or something glow yellow. Then it doesn't need to draw these effects.
I hope this can be done, it would really be great.

we use to have the effect on all the time to show players what you had. But too many buble boy jokes came up
But what I noticed is that your right, it tried to draw it ever time you got hit. However we still want the effect to only show when your taking damage. How about I put a check so its only has one on at a time (instead of trying to make a new sheild on each hit)? This should remove the lag.
