Trap Maps

I am always fascinated by trap maps. they way you kill your enemies by making them kill themselves...

Can someone (not me, I can't even make a one room map) make CTF, BR and DM trap maps please? I relly liked Arena and Arena][ by Shadwstar.

There are a few clans that specialize solely in BR and CTF.

It may not get played much, but BR has its charms. I've never thought about doing a BR map, but who knows? Maybe one day...

i had a few ideas for BR, but to be honest, the gametype just got left behind in favour of DM,CTF, and best of all AS.....

id love to try an AS map myself.....

IDEA:

A really, really long CTF map composed of several rooms. two rooms are for flags (F), 4 for spawning (S) and 7 for Traps (T)

Ideas for traps in rooms:

1) Floor has several large colored tiles. If you step on a certain color tile, it will open to reveal a pit of lava. There could be a sign on the wall informing players of the tile to beware

2) Huge axes swinging from the ceiling/hammers pounding on the floor/Jets of fire erupting from the walls or floor at regular intervals.

3) Room has glass walls and a button outside it which, if pushed, causes the room's doors to lock and releases hordes of proxy mines into the room from vents ont he ceiling/walls

4)etc. etc. etc.

Thats just a starting idea...

Sounds good. Yep, i have to agree that trap maps are T3h r0xx0r. Love just whackin' 8 bots on free for all duel on the arena levels. hilarious

if you want to learn how to make maps there are plenty of online tutorials out there, im a novice map maker thats still learning. i havent released any maps yet mainly because i loose intrest part way through cause i have soooo many idea cursing through me head!!!!

. i might give it a go, especially the proxy thing!!!

I miss most of the UT99 DM maps. I can't even remember the names. I also miss UT99 AS.
If anyone knows for UT2004 pack with ALL UT99 maps in it, please send me the URL. Or if you know a website. I'm not really on browsing for UT99 maps for UT2004 in a map site, if I don't even rememebr the names, exept AS-Frigate
