First post and a critical error!

Hi all

I have a public rented server. (UT 99)
I'm almost ready to remove the password to allow people on but am having one serious problem. I have several mods running including Fragball, CHaosUT, NIUT and Monster Hunt.

When people connect to the server, various ChaosUT files begin to download. I have redirection set up.

Problem is, after a few Chaos files download, this lovely error appears and crashes the client:



The only way to get round this problem is download and install ChaosUT v1.1 yourself and then connect to the server.

The problem with this workaround is that not everyone will know that and I stand the chance of having an empty server.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Is it worth me downloading the non-umod again, compresssing the files and uploading them to my redirect site? Do the files overwrite the older ones?


Any help appreciated, I want open my server asap.

Dont install Chaos and try to connect.......it will crash with the above screenshot error!

more info:

I downloaded ChaosUT v1.1, the non umod version.

I then compressed all files and uploaded them to a redirect site.

That should work surely?

I have no idea what is going on, but my guess is that it just wears down after a while like my umod problem in that after a while it runs down and breaks.

BTW add 'you MUST install CUT' in front of it. that's what I do when I get complaints on my temp. servers

(mostly ones that run CUT, Robo storm, and jailbreak (their earlier version) on the same server

Thanks for the suggestion.
I havent installed teh CUT-server UMOD!

How do i do it?

I used the UMOD tool which breaks the files down.
But all I get it a manifest.ini in the system folder

How do I install the CUTServer_umod on my rented server?

I copied and pasted the manifest.ini details in my system directory on teh server. didnt work?

removed Chaos v1.1

Installed Chaos GOTYE....uploaded files blah blah blah.....


works now.

was busy with real life stuff and getting our new version ready so did not have time to get back to this..plus UT was sooo long ago... But glad you got it up and working!
