Jb makes progess (we think so anyway)

It's been awhile since we've posted progress... but there was a CTF bug(s) that had us at sort of a standstill.

So in order to get past this, Jb has re-written our "flag code". This is the parts of the code that handles our "carry your own flag" part of the game type, and all that it relates to.

Yes, that's a lot to have to do this late in the game, but it was his opinion that it was the best route to take. And so that's what he's done.

The good news is that he has re-written the code already, and we have a test-able version in our hands now. And so far the tests have gone well.

Naturally we're going to want to do a lot of testing of this new code before going public with it, but as I said, so far so good.

Many thanks to Jb for sticking it out, even when he had to 'start over' with some pieces of the code. I personally am very grateful that he has had the determination to stick with it.

So yeah, I realize things are quiet for Chaos nowadays, but I'm still very excited about having this type of CTF available for Unreal. Naturally I'm hoping he can somehow, in some way, use some of this for 07 when it comes around.

And I haven't given up on playing it a lot in UT2004 either.

Well its not all me. Lots of effort went it by flag and the rest of the team to help find the bugs with the old flag code. And finding and repeting a bug is the best way to fix it!

And the old code was pretty solid. Just it was done by two others and with my limited time (new house, lots of work at the real job, family, summer, ect) I just did not have enough time to dig through their logic. So re-did it from the ground up so I understand (well I should understand) how it works

And as flag has stated so far soo good
