Hi everyone,
i haven't played this mod in ages and was just setting it up for a LAN and it crashes with a runtime error, i have the correct UT2004 patch installed, the mod is installed correctly from what i can see, I get the following:
If anyone can help that would be ace.

Can you post the contents of your UT2004\System\UT2004.log file?

Yes i have the same problem....
After a fresh UT2k4 installation on windowsXP i patch to 3369 and than i install PRv3.7 Full UMOD from
http://chaotic.beyondunreal.com , i try to start ChaosUT2 from Start-Menu link and its crash

An ChaosUT2.log will be created but is empty (NO Traceback
)
The UT2004.log will not touched
wat can be happend?
UT2004 self runs correct....TOC runs too
ps. on linux the same problem (empty log too)

ASUS Board A8Nxxx
AMD Athlon 3200+ (Barton)
1024MB DDR Ram

Did you have the latest version of the ECE installed? Thats required for this to work. Maybe see if you can get the ECE or UT2004 Mega Pack? Or do you have that?
If you have that can you show us your normal UT2k4 log just to rule out any errors in that..

Assuming that you got no patches installed (and no ECE), you need to install these
in the order written :
UT2004 Windows Patch 3369
ECE Bonus Pack
UT2004 Windows Patch 3369
If you got a patch which is 3339 or higher, you don't need to install the first one in the list (but you do have to install the last one in the list).

If you want .umod support back, you should reinstall 3369 patch also. Plus, ECE is outdated anyways, so it's almost an obligation!

Hi and sorry I know this is an old topic, but I have the same problem.
I instaled UT04, then the patch 3369, then ECE Bonus Pack and then 3369 again, then I installed the CUT Mod and then the patch, but I got the C++ Runtime Error problem, can anybody please help me?
edit: I have many other mods which I must open in the Community Menu and they work fine. That is strange that these work, but not CUT *sigh*

Sorry for your trouble. How are you trying to launch Chaos from the Community menu? Does a chaosut2.log file get created?

Can you cut and paste the log file contents here? As it should have some error tracking info that we can use to help fix this issue for you...
