Chaotic Dreams

Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if there were anymore updates to the Chaos mod since the new mines, since everything is starting to shape up and look great

Would it be possible to create a UT2k3 section under screenshots, to entice the users, for the much anticipated mod ? And will there be a general section for ut2k3 chaos, since UT2 is different from UT2k3?

And finally, how would one go about joining the beta testing group? Or has this group already been choosen, restricted, and you see no reason to open it up again?

We should have another IR (internal release in a day or two). Check back as we will have some info very soon!!!

Howdy Evolution! Yeah, got another big update coming very soon.

And you are right about the screenshots section. However, it seems at the moment we are ahead in coding, compared to models. So much of our sshots have 'placeholders' in them, instead of actual model.

I could show you a sshot of some SwordArena testing I did, but you would see a minigun instead of a sword. Hehe. (long metal model - closest thing we had handy )

There will be many nice shots coming in the near future of course, I hope you check back. Here's one from testing just so you don't leave empty handed;





Ok, so that's 2 instead of one. Sue me. But now remember, these are beta pics, and no graphics you see in them are necessarily final. Things will change. The 1st pic shows a vortex, and if you look close, you can see that it is pulling in a passing rocket, and a xloc disc. The 2nd pic is not a vortex.

Thank you for offering to help beta test. Beta testing is the area I humbly attempt to take care of, and for the moment, I think we have enough testers. However, this will change. It's just the way things go. Sometimes folks sign up to help test, and then later on things change, and they no longer have the time, or whatever. Stuff happens.

I will tell you that with rare exceptions, when I need another tester, I look to those whom I have either played Chaos with, or I have seen playing online. Of course that doesn't apply yet to UT2, but it will soon. It just makes sense to use those who are playing the mod already, and are familiar with it.

So keep playing Chaos sir, and I will keep you in mind. If you are still around and playing in future, you will almost certainly get your chance.

Thanks for the quick reply R.Flagg Unfortuantely I don't have q3, q2 or ut at the moment, so I'm unable to play any other version of chaos, but I'm sure CHAOS UT2K3 will turn out to be the a great mod
