True. But that's not a playermodel.
A playermodel's bones have to have certain names in order to work properly. That way the engine can make the lower half of a model run backwards while the upper half is shooting with a heavy weapon and the head follows the nearest opponent.
Invasion creatures don't have to be able to do that.

What about having all the left legs be one single mesh named left leg and all the right legs be one single mesh named right leg. Then in the animations have them use these legs to walk around.
I make Darth Vader look like a teenage punk with a lightsaber.
what about if its six legged, and the middle of one side and the front and back of the other side are linked? All would be doing the same thing at the same time. Up, rotate forward, down, rotate back.

Not to be a party pooper, but those damn Chreks are hard to hit. All bones and no fat. Plus, it's hard to tell what they're packing. Maybe have them as a non-player option. In short: love the model, hate having to hit it. Maybe just because the legs make them look bigger than they are.
why not mix both ? Make a Chrek/proxy invasion that would be really hard to play....the annoying proxy and the hard to kill chrek .... that could be cool
Wouldn't it be nice if UT2004 has an update to allow players to have more than standard limbs, like multiple pairs of legs, wings, wheels or tails. One of my favorite player models was for Quake II and it had an old mad scientist in a wheelchair with gun mounted above his head.
If you're not having fun, it's because I shot you in the head.
