
Proxy Personalities
I finished watching the Half-Life 2 "Bugbait" video.
In it, Gordon finds what appears to be some kind of round "pheromone balls". The video goes on to show him throwing the balls at his enemies and causing them to be attacked by a swarm of giant bugs.
I was thinking, what if CUT2 had an item that worked like that on proxies? You could have some kind of homing signal transmitter that you can place on enemies/turrets/vehicles/etc. and have any proxies within transmission range swarm to that location.

Sticky Proxyes these proxies, covered in sharp needles, Jump onto , and stick to their target , they will then countdown from 10(for dramatic purposes ) and detonate in a spray of needles. multple proxies of this type can stick to the same target , but each time a new one jumps on , the countdown restarts, so that they can all detonate simultaneously , . they Cannot be shaken off by the victim , but can be shot off by teammates (provided friendly fire is off)

IceproXiesThese proxies, Signified by Clear blue Shells of Ice in place of the eggshell. These proxies Slip and slide with each jump , and when they explode , they release a spray of liquid Nitrogen that Freezes (or slows or kills , or whatever the Freezing effect you guys have chosen.) anyone caught in the spray. The spray however , will only affect things in the immeadiae area (around 3 feet) , but will launch a shower of sharp ice shards in all other directions for about 7 feet.

Hello all , I'd like to announce , that yesterday , As I exited my vehicle at my residence of employment , My kneecap gave way Tearing a very important tendon , and sufferred some serious internal bleeding in my knee. but fear not , for As I lay there , helpless on the concrete , awaiting the arrival of my all to slow coworkers , I thought of a proxytype. I write this from my laptop on a hospital bed.
ProxyKnights These Proxies,A variation on the Stickyproxy type , are signfied by a spiky , Medevil Knight helmet and a heavy clank sound with each hop. Their Heavy armor protects them from Bullets , cutterblades , Arrows(except Explosive) , melee weapons , and their Shiny armor will even reflect LinkGun Lasers. These proxies will use their spiky helmet to stick into players , and the weight of the proxy will also slow down the movement speed of the player. The heavy weight of these proxies armor will also make them land closer to the player after being launched , and make them fly shorter when kicked , AND give them a shorter jump distance/Height . Due to these proxxies Vertically challengedness , they will have a tendency to stick to the players knees . Much like the Sticky proxies , ProxyKnights will Stick to a player and then begin a countdown , although unlike the 10 second countdown of the stickyproxies , Proxyknights will have a 15 second fuse , and a bunch of quotes from the movie braveheart , only proxyfied.ooh , and if they kill you , they blow your kneecaps off.

I thought of this one while watching a Television show on Sensory Deprivation booths...
BlitterProxies These Proxies , symbilized by a large Pair of Headphones , will Emit very Loud Static noises such as bzzzztt...Crackle crackle ... Phizz... y'know , the Sound a Radio that has no station makes. The Noise would be played on all channels Except for the announcer channel . The sound will only carry About 10 feet however. When the proxy has No target the sound will just be static ,but when It targets a player , the player will hear the static accompanied by the voice of the proxy.EDIT crap , I left a bit out... The Noise the Proxies Emits Is loud enough , that when a Player enters range of the sound , they Are unable to hear the sounds of Other players , such as Gunfire , Footsteps , and Grunts.

pondering what a 200 foot tall proxy would be like
DashProxies These Proxies , Signified by small Winglike projections where Ears would go (think those Greek Running shoes from cartoons) Travel at an incdredible speed By running (Ie hopping about an inch , but doing it 10 times a second). The Drawback , Is that the Rapid jostling motion endured by the proxies Makes them somewhat unstable , and Will occasionally Self destruct for no reason whatsoever. Also , due to their short rapid jumps , they will have difficulties reaching players who are more than a foot above them.

Head Proxies
These proxies , symbolixed by gaping holes where the ellow face would go , these proxies jump at the heads of players , when they land on the heads of the enemy , the helmet will fit snugly around the victims head , and the victim will be controlled by the proxy ,while being controlled , the player has 100 health , and hunts enemies just as a normal proxy would(Ie , hopping , alot) when the proxy explodes it will do 300 damage , but will only have a slightly Greater radius of damage than normal.

hello i'm new i have an idea for proxy
ZOMBIPROXY:when you walk near this proxy it will explode and a green gas cloud contaminate the player for a time,and until the end of thid time every life pick up(item or booster combo)will decrease the life.

Technically we already have that in Invasion. Die, and you can inhabit a proxy... It's pretty fun too, played with it alot at TusCon. If there were dead players, the living players would all try to find proxies or a claw2 so that the dead players could get back into the game. I'd hear "Someone launch some proxies!" and so someone would, and then "Thank you!" from across the room...
Heheh It was loads of fun. And everyone loved the Duel mode. Hmm, maybe I should have advertised it here so some of you who would be willing to make the trip to Tucson, Arizona, could have played Duel and Chaos for the weekend...
