A great deal of creative thought has gone into the current melee combat system, and the result is a system which provides many more options than one might originally realize. Highly unconventional approaches may prove more successful than the more obvious schemes when it comes to new ideas.
Recently, I've been pondering something entirely unique. Instead of a melee weapon, this is a suit. Every part of this suit is, effectively, a weapon. So, you would have spiked gloves, thorned elbow straps, bladed shoulders, spiked breastplate, bladed leggings, and spiked boots, and possibly a horned helmet. With our current melee system, such a thing would be possible, though getting it to fit properly on a player could be tricky.
Yea, since it would have to determine which model is being displayed on each client
One player could use Renegade model, and someone else might be forcing Gorge on all players, another forcing Cobalt, etc
(Melaneus) Dammit, don't you know Furrysound's actually this hot anthro cat goddess? Who does server administration?

um I forgot who told me but..... I think it was the author how had said that he just basically shrunk the foot of the ut2k3 models and placed the boots over them or something.
Actually, unarmed combat would fit right in with the current system, I think. This would make a "combat suit" redundant. Or perhaps a variation on unarmed combat. The "kick" is already in, after all.
