We could make a realistic limiter, like every player that grapples to a vehicle reduces its max speed a bit and increases the gravity effecting the vehicle. So with 3 or 4 players attached, a raptor would barely be able to stay in the air.

ahh there we go that answers my question.LoQtUS wrote:Part of the idea for the Hoverboard is to have it work in conjunction with the Hook and other Vehicles to " tow" the player on the board just like in Back to the Future. Maybe that will save the player from the fall LOL.
Ofcourse, the Board will still be a vehicle so it will be subject to all of the Vehicle Rules, Wich will mean that missles will lock on the board.

Yes, too many grapples make the raptor come down fast...LoQtUS wrote:I dont believe that there is at current, but (IMO) we should add a limit to howmany can hook to a Raptor and " get a lift" over to the enemy bases.

How about hooking up to another hoverboard and then let the rope mow
down players that get between the two boards. I don't know if thats possible but it would be nice riding along with a teammate decapitating enemies with the rope. A side effect would be that if they go round a pole the rope would catch itself there and the riders might crash if they dont release the grapple which would make it a bit harder to drive that way.

we've already reviewed the ninja rope and have put much thought into implementing features similar to it , although , that would limit some of the special grapple moves that most of our players are used to.Scorch wrote:L O L. yaknow, it really is possible to do stuff like that. If you guys kinda found out the secret to the ninjarope mut at ut2k3 hq.com, which has lots of grappling and stuff, it could add more effects to the game.

A realistic grapple would be a sensible "evolution". There's nothing that says we would need to change the control scheme, just allow the rope to bend around objects. It should still basically work the same way, but would have a more realistic feel to it, so you get the best of both worlds. I'm for it, if we can do it.
