General protection fault! -bug?-

Post by isolated_memory »

First of all, I would like to say hello to everyone here :)

Okay, so when I go into community on UT04, and click to activate the chaos ut2 mod, this happens...

History: CheckTag <- LoadSummary <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- UObject::StaticAllocateObject <- (Package XL-7Textures) <- UObject::StaticConstructObject <- ULinkerLoad::CreateExport <- (XL-7Textures 8581522) <- IndexToObject <- ULinkerLoad::CreateExport <- (XL-7Portrait 8581522) <- ULinkerLoad::Create <- UObject::StaticLoadObject <- (Engine.Material Klasnic-Vrykolakas.XL-7Textures.XL-7Portrait NULL) <- CacheParseLine::Players <- UxUtil::CacheLoad <- UxUtil::CacheGet <- UxUtil::execGetPlayerRecord <- (ChaosGUI_UT2K4GUIController Package.ChaosGUI_UT2K4GUIController @ Function XInterface.GUIController.PrecachePlayerRecords : 0013) <- UObject::execClassContext <- (ChaosGUI_UT2K4GUIController Package.ChaosGUI_UT2K4GUIController @ Function XInterface.GUIController.PrecachePlayerRecords : 0013) <- UObject::ProcessEvent <- (ChaosGUI_UT2K4GUIController Package.ChaosGUI_UT2K4GUIController, Function XInterface.GUIController.InitializeController) <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Free

I am not sure of what this means, but I would appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this, and perhaps tell me what I could do to fix it?

isolated_memory,

usally this is a sign that something is not installed that Chaos needs. Can you cut and paste your chaosut2.log file here (Found in your ut2004/chaosut2/system dir)? Also make sure you have Epics ECE Bonus pack installed. And what install version did you use? 3.6 full? or Patch? If you patched what version did you have before? Again sorry for the trouble.
