Ooooh! Ooooh! I know! ummmm... Dead shrine, grammar = Dead no Shrine, lemme get my dictionary... Shi no Yashiro could be translated as temple/shrine of death..... shinda no yashiro would be dead shrine, but it is likely that it would be taken dead as in dead hampsters, so you're probably best off with Shi no yashiro. Or you could name it somthing like domo-kun no yashiro, and no one would notice, and that would be cool.
Domo-kun is awesome.
OMG, I think this is the first time i've used my japanese skillz for somthing other than watching anime

BTW:
In hindi it would be
Mauth/Mrityu/Mar (death) ka Mandir (temple)
It literally means temple of death, but what the hell...

thats so awesome.
cheers streyr, ive been looking for translations like that all over the place. They always seem to give it in chinese/jap characters...which is nice to look at but means nothing to me...lol
so i could get away with just writing domo-kun? yashrio = temple?
i was asking cos ive roughed out a duel level based on a (oriental) dead shrine....set in the jungle.....at night....and i want to name it accordingly.

Um, no, naming it Domo-kun was just a joke. Domo kun is the japanese monster featured in a popular image which you can find here (WARNING: CONTAINS SMALL REFERENCE TO MASTURBATION):

If you must know more, visit the domo-kun faq.
So no, you would probably not want to name it Domo-kun no Yashiro(the temple of Domo-kun). Shi no Yashiro(temple of death) is probably your best bet. (note: I used the word temple instead of shrine because japanese shrines are these little portable things that you carry around)
If you want to go for that generic anime sound, you may also want to consider kage no yashiro(the temple of shadows).
